RECENT ORDERS AFFECTING RULES — RECAP

Posted by mtlawlibrary on June 6, 2007

In the past few months, the Montana Supreme Court has issued quite a few Orders affecting the rules of practice and procedure.  These rule changes (and proposed rule changes) are posted on the Supreme Court’s web site under the Orders link at top.  I have recently been asked why this newsfeed does not cover these Orders.  Although this reporter would like to provide current coverage of the new Orders here, I do not always receive contemporaneous notice of the new Orders.  (Similarly, the Orders affecting rules are also supposed to be indexed and included in the Montana Supreme Court Cases database; however, the person in charge of that task also does not receive notice of all new Orders of note).  As a result, some recent Orders have been missed.  This is not a conspiracy of any sort, just an oversight.  In an effort to make this newsfeed as complete as possible, I am posting here links to the permanent online version of all of the recent Orders affecting rules that have been issued by the Supreme Court in the past 6 months or so below.  I apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this has caused.
